Description:
The Arlington County Chapter of the American Red Cross offers more than 25 different volunteer opportunities in emergency services, blood services, assistance to seniors and the disabled, international services, assistance to the military, and health and safety education.

History:
The American Red Cross began in this area in 1917. For nearly 100 years, we have served people in Arlington County, even before the county had its name. Our current headquarters building was originally built in 1949 and has been expanded and remodeled several times.
