The mission of the Aging and Disability Services Division is to promote the maximum level of independence and community participation of seniors, persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, and persons with physical disabilities.

Programs in the Division provide the help needed to enable adults to remain safely in, and be an integral part of the community. Many services assist persons who are at risk of institutional placement. The community, education, health promotion, advocacy, and legal compliance activities of the division benefit many elderly and adults with disabilities in Arlington.
