The Community Association of Resources for Education, Enrichment and Economics, Inc. (CARE) was established in 1996 to serve the needs of disadvantaged communities and youth.
Description:
We offer a variety of programs and activities in the Arlington community. We work with several non-profits to encourage collaborations and resource sharing. Our services have included organizing and planning programs and activities for youth with a focus on teens and parents. We provide a series of sessions to prevent teenage pregnancy, encourage positive behaviors and work with at-risk youth on social and academic development. We offer parent cooperatives for summer programs and activities to meet the needs of parents today.
History:
Since 1996 we have provided the following community based programs: Families Involved Together for Preventing Early Pregnancy (FIT for PEP) Summer BAsic SKills, ETc. The Real World Crew Summer Time And Reading Together (S.T.A.R.T) Nauck Youth & Teens Afterschool Boys to Men Workshops & Retreats College Prep & Planning Special Events and Fundraisers Program Planning and Organizing
