We have an on-going need for volunteers in our D.C. office Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings between 5pm and 8pm. Volunteering is an ideal opportunity for individuals that are interested in international and women's issues and learning about women's experiences around the globe. Much of the volunteer work we currently have available is in the Sponsorship Department, and involves data entry and processing of the thousands of letters that are exchanged between sponsors and their sisters each month. The atmosphere is convivial and many of our volunteers become regular fixtures in the office.

Before you start volunteering for Women for Women International, we ask that you attend a short information session. These sessions are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 6.00pm to 6.30pm. At the end of the Information Session all newly signed volunteers are welcome to join the regular volunteer session occurring in the adjacent room from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

Space is limited and reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Email confirmation will be sent within 48 hours of scheduled session, with directions and information about attending the desired session.

If you are unable to make the evening information sessions, but are able to schedule daytime appointments, Tuesday through Thursday, between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, please contact us at volunteers@womenforwomen.org. Our human resources coordinator will be in contact to schedule a convenient time to meet with you.
