The Treasure Shop is a consignment/resale boutique whose proceeds benefit their Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation and will support their vision of community partnerships and assist in their mission of providing quality of life programs for all seniors.  Established in 1971, the shop will soon be moving to a new, beautiful space in the Chesterbrook Shopping Center in McLean. When they move, they will be in great need of new volunteers to help with appraising items and with the retail operations of the shop.  So if you would like to volunteer for a non-profit organization, are outgoing, love shopping (volunteer discounts) and want to serve seniors—you have found the right place and we have found the right person.

Appraisers: We are looking for individuals with experience in or a knack for evaluating and pricing merchandise for our new consignment store. Volunteers will be asked to appraise items such as furniture, jewelry and home decor & household items. We are looking for reliable volunteers who enjoy interacting with the public and who can dedicate at least one 4-hour shift per week. No heavy lifting is required. Store Associates: We are looking for friendly faces to staff our new consignment/resale store. Volunteers are needed to help in areas such as greeting customers, tagging and selling merchandise, working the cash register, maintaining inventory and assisting customers with purchases. We need reliable individuals who enjoy interacting with the public and who can dedicate at least on 4-hour shift per week. No heavy lifting is required.
