“My name is Sunshine and I live at Veronica’s Home of Mercy. After being put on the street by my family, I entered Veronica’s Home of Mercy on August 17th of this year with my 2 1/2-year-old son. I was also pregnant. I have learned a lot from all the programs that Veronica’s Home of Mercy offers. I have obtained my GED and I’m attending San Bernardino Valley College, majoring in Child Development. I enjoy living here, and I feel blessed to find a place with an open heart that does not judge you; they just take you in and help you with open arms. They teach you how to help your children and how to help yourself with all the problems you have, or they find people who can. I have learned so much, as has my son, and am so thankful to Veronica’s Home of Mercy and the staff for everything they have given and helped me with, especially accomplishing my goals and even my dreams of being a better mom, inside and out."
