Description:
The Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross collects and distributes blood components to over 80 hospitals in our Region. The Region includes Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Central Maryland, and Southern Pennsylvania, and is the fourth largest Red Cross Blood region in the nation.

History:
The American Red Cross Blood Services has served the American people for over 60 years, assuring the availability of blood and blood products in medical emergencies, thereby saving the lives of countless patients in our Community.
