Our commitment is prepare foster children for productive entry into the adult world.  The mission of TuTTie’s Place is to establish and maintain a sense of family, stability and direction by enhancing the child’s adjustment to his new environment of foster care, and to cope with the tumultuous separation from his home and biological family.  TuTTie’s Place will holistically treat the mind, body, and energy of each individual child, enabling him to accept and value his imperfections, and enable him to successfully cope with society upon his release from foster care.

Description:
TuTTie’s Place is a non-profit, licensed by the State of Maryland since 1998 to provide community-based residential foster care to 26 adolescent boys, aged 8-18, in four Northwest Baltimore homes. TuTTie’s Place strives to help these at-risk boys see a world beyond the negative environments that led to their out-of-home placements.  In addition to providing a nurturing environment for their residential, medical, therapeutic, and educational needs, we provide a variety of academic, artistic, musical, and recreational activities for their social, educational, and physical growth. 

History:
TuTTie's Place has developed a comprehensive program that meets the needs of children who are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect and have not been able to remain in traditional family home foster care settings.  We make every attempt to give the children experiences that will develop into positive life skills as they work to grow into self-sufficient contributing adults in our society.
