Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We are looking for people who can donate a few hours of their time each week on a set day. Cat areas are cleaned everyday which involves sweeping and mopping, cleaning dishes and litter boxes, and changing linens. This can be hard work, but when you're done your cleaning duties one of the most rewarding things about volunteering is to sit down with the cats and give some much sought after love and attention.

Please note: As of right now, we cannot accommodate volunteers who only want evenings. We need volunteers during the morning hours from about 8AM until 12 or 1PM.

Anyone interested in this position will have to go around with a senior volunteer to learn the general cleaning process. We also require that you can do some general bending and lifting and walking up and down stairs. You should not be severely allergic to cats either.

We do not accept anyone under the age of 16 without parental supervision at our Parkville Shelter and under 18 without parental supervision at our facility on the Maryland Line.
