Creative Kids Community Center

We have the pinecones if you have the time. Help us create pinecone wreaths that will help raise funds for the community center's after school program. Work with the elementary and middle school-age children at our community center or with other adults. We are also looking for more donations of wire, wreath bases, paint, hot glue guns and glue, and decorations.  Contact www.creativekidstradewind@comcast.net 

Department of Social Service Baltimore County

The Department of Social Services needs your help with their Annual Holiday Project.  The Holiday Project provides food and gift baskets to needy families, collects and distributes toys and gifts to children and help spread holiday cheer to those in need.  Here are some of the opportunities available:

Saturday, December 20th - need volunteers to assist with loading truck for the Essex Toy Store

Sunday, December 10 - 12th - Volunteers needed to staff the Toy Store including escorting clients and restoring tables.

Tuesday, December 12th - Volunteers needed to assist in packing up the Essex Toy Store and loading the truck.

Friday, December 15th - help accepting donations from donors that wish to remain anonymous.

Saturday December 16th & 17th - Students needed to set up, staff and tear down the Toy Store at Woodlawn High School.

Monday, December 18th - unload truck and set up the Towson Toy Store.

Tuesday, December 19th - 22nd - Volunteers needed to staff the Towson Toy Store.

Individuals with vans, larger cars, and/or pick up trucks are needed to assist with the picking up and distributing larger gifts of food and toys.  Mileage reimbursement will be given.  If you are interested contact Deborah Ward, Volunteer Office Baltimore County DSS at 410-853-3021.
