The Epilepsy Foundation is the only not-for-profit agency headquartered in Boston, Mass., specifically dedicated to the welfare of more than 80,000 persons with epilepsy/seizure disorders in Massachusetts & Rhode Island.

History:
Founded in 1983 by a group of citizens personally affected by, and involved with, the needs of adults and children with epilepsy. The Epilepsy foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and a consumer advisory board, a Professional Advisory Board comprised of experts in the field of epilepsy. Since our founding, services have been provided to over 80,000 individuals. Membership is about 5,000 and growing.
