Position title: Treasurer, Member of Board of Directors
Description: We are seeking an individual who is an experienced accountant to serve as the treasurer of our organization. In the past, the treasurer has assisted the volunteers with oversight of all aspects of the accounting process using Quick Books. The treasurer prepares and submits the form 990 EZ to the IRS as well as other forms required by the state. Since this is primarily a volunteer organization (e.g. we do not have paid Executive Director) the treasurer will be responsible for working with other board members on developing upcoming budgets. The treasurer has been exempt from attending each bi-weekly board teleconference, but is certainly welcome and encouraged to attend as often as possible.
