The Career Advisory Network (CAN) engages established professionals in the networking efforts of professional-level JVS clients who are changing careers or searching for work.
In today's tight job market, networking has become the key to success for job-seekers. To be competitive, job-seekers require up-to-date industry information and knowledge of trends within particular professional disciplines.
CAN advisors are professionals in all fields who offer to share their career expertise with current Career Moves clients-who are job-seeking professionals--during 30-minute, one-on-one meetings. A Career Moves Employment Specialist or Career Counselor carefully screens and matches the client to a CAN advisor and provides him or her with contact guidelines. These meetings provide valuable information to job-seekers as they navigate a successful path into the labor market.
Logistics: 30 minutes per interview.
Contacts received by CAN advisors vary according to field.
