Work with women who are recovering from emotional distress and substance abuse, and survivors of violence domestic and sexual. Work with children in our childrens program or co-facilitate support groups. assist in teaching parenting and economic literacy or help out administratively. No matter where your focus is the Stone house will be an educational experience that be with you for a long time.

Training will be provided but we ask that you come with an open mind, the willingness to learn new and different ways of working with these particular populations, a non-judgemental attitude, empathy, and the ability to set limits and have good boundaries.

 From Mass Pike: Take the Mass Pike (I-90) into Boston Follow the Prudential exit to Huntington Avenue Stay in the right lane to avoid an underpass (0.2 miles) Turn Left onto Massachusetts Ave (0.2) Turn Right onto Tremont Street Tremont becomes Columbus Avenue Drive about 1.5 miles and cross Centre St Look for the Dimock Community Health Center Turn left onto Dimock St Turn right onto Notre Dame St We are the large blue building on the left Parking is available in the lot down the hill Ring the buzzer labeled “office” From Interstate 95: Take the Exit for Rte. 9East (to Boston). Follow Rte. 9 for several miles through Brookline. Go under the “Jamaica Way” overpass Turn RIGHT onto South Huntington Ave. (gas station on the corner). Take S. Huntington for approximately 1-2 miles. Turn LEFT onto Perkins St. at the light. Follow Perkins St. for about a mile (through rotary and turns into Centre St.). Pass the Jackson Square T station. Turn RIGHT onto Columbus Ave. Turn LEFT onto Dimock St. (first stop light) Go to the top of the hill. Turn RIGHT onto Notre Dame St. We are the large blue building on the left Parking is available in the lot down the hill Ring the buzzer labeled “office”. From Downtown/ I 93/ Fitzgerald Expressway Take Exit 18, labeled "Mass Ave/Roxbury". Head STRAIGHT off ramp. follow signs for "Mass Ave/Roxbury/Melnea Cass Blvd” Stay on Melnea Cass Blvd. for 9/10th of a mile Turn LEFT on to Tremont St. (Ruggles Station will be directly across the intersection). Continue on Tremont St. (it turns into Columbus Ave without notice) You’ll pass Roxbury Community College At 1.4 Miles, turn LEFT on to Dimock Street Go to the top of the hill. Turn RIGHT onto Notre Dame St. We are the large blue building on the left Parking is available in the lot down the hill Ring the buzzer labeled “office”. Public Transportation: Take the Orange Line to Jackson Square Station. Turn LEFT out of the station on to Centre St. Turn RIGHT at first light, on to Columbus Ave. Turn left at first light on to Dimock St. Go to the top of the hill. Turn RIGHT onto Notre Dame St. We are the large blue building on the left Parking is available in the lot down the hill Ring the buzzer labeled “office”. Please be aware that many of our residents have experienced domestic violence. While we have a separate confidential site, we try not to advertise this location unless necessary.
