Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed as advisers to the CRLS Science Olympiad (S.O.)team. The S.O. is a national competition devoted to improving the quality of science education. The yearly tournaments are rigorous academic competitions consisting of team events in various science disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, computers and technology. Advisers help students problem-solve, assist with research and trouble-shooting, and serve as a sounding board to students.

Volunteers must attend an orientation at the CSV office. Those interested in this volunteer opportunity should be strong in one or more science disciplines. Volunteers must make a once/week commitment, for one hour per week, from approximately January thru March. Advising takes place after-school, from 2:30-5:00.
