Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on August 4, 2009 |
We are looking for a volunteer to provide English instruction to a group of 8-10 students from Cape Verde and some Spanish-speaking countries. The students are primarily women and have little or no education in their first language. English skills are very important for these students as they try to attain jobs and educate their children. Our last volunteer instructor has left after several years and it is critical that we find a replacement in order to continue offering this important class.
We are looking for a volunteer who has strong verbal and written English skills, is culturally sensitive and patient. Volunteers who speak Spanish and/or Portuguese Creole are ideal for this position. This opportunity is sponsored by: Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Inc. (FDNH)
We need volunteers who are free at these times
