Have you ever thought about being an academic tutor and mentor? Do you live or work near Charlestown?

If so, then the extended day program at the Clarence R. Edwards Middle School in Charlestown is the perfect way for you to give back! Boston Partners in Education is looking for volunteers to come spend an afternoon a week with students who need extra help with homework and study strategies.

During the application process, we provide training in mentoring and tutoring, as well as a personal interview and a reference check to ensure a successful experience.

Directions:

 The Boston Partners office is a two minute walk from the Courthouse Station, Silver Line stop. Take the T to the South Station stop on the red line. Transfer to the Silver Line Way outbound, and take the underground bus to Courthouse Station. After getting off the bus, use the escalators to the right to get to the upper level of the station. Proceed to the next set of escalators on the left. After exiting the glass building, walk around to the back of the building and take a right, walking across the parking lot towards Farnsworth Street. Once you reach the edge of the parking lot and the end of Farnsworth Street, you will see a red brick building across the street. This is 44 Farnsworth Street. Take the elevator to the 7th floor and check in with the receptionist. The schools in which volunteers serve are located in various communities throughout the city.
