Non-profit school for underprivileged students is looking for the following position to be filled by an individual 50 yrs. or older. This Volunteer position will be for 1 yr., working 2 days/wk. at the school. Volunteer will become part of a Catholic National Organization and agrees to participate in a spiritual development program to nourish them in the service which they would supply. Academic/Support Services Assistant
Description
• Assist teacher in lower-level classes
• Provide in-class support for students needing individualized assistance
• Refer students for rehabilitation, health care, housing, day care, and other service providers
• Assist students applying to higher education institutions

Qualifications
• Bachelors’ Degree in education or social services-related field
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience with social service providers
• Experience working with adult population
