The Career and Computer Literacy Teacher will provide employment training, academic counseling, and teach a course on career-related topics such as computer literacy, job searching, resume writing, and interviewing skills to immigrant and refugee women. The Career and Computer Literacy Teacher will also be responsible for providing additional resources about job training programs, educational opportunities, scholarship information and referrals to appropriate agencies or programs.
Desired qualities: • Previous experience working with adults, especially with low-income families and immigrant women of color. • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work with individuals of diverse cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic communities • Commitment to social justice • Bilingual very helpful, but not necessary
