Office Assistant for Yesodot Program Seeking an office assistant who is proficient with Word and Excel, and hopefully can input data into Access (do not need to know how to make Queries but it would help). Need to be proficient on the Internet and with Email. Responsibilities include drafting documents, working on Excel databases, inputting information into Access, helping with mailings, copying and filing. Need good telephone and written communications communicating with families. Need to be comfortable working independently and carry through on commitments. 10 + hours available for this position, but will accept candidates for as few as 3 hours a week. Ideal if candidates can work within the following hours listed below: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5pm (flexible hours) Yesodot strives to be a lifeline for Jewish and interfaith families challenged by disability who live in the metro Boston area. Yessodot maximizes potential and builds community foundations ("yesodot") for Jewish children and young adults with disabilities by empowering their families. Yesodot provides parent and sibling support; family recreational outings; presents educational workshops; disseminates information and develops resources; offers programs for young people transitioning from high school, and runs an assistive technology project. Yesodot participates in public awareness activities and collaborates to foster community inclusion. Yesodot also has a project with Boston’s sister city, Haifa, Israel.
