America SCORES New England seeks referees during the fall of 2009 for its weekly elementary and middle school soccer games. Being a referee is a fun and active way to get involved with Boston’s youth. Refs help facilitate game days, provide on-field instruction, and encourage a positive atmosphere on the field. The SCORES season runs from September 21-November 13. Games are played in the late afternoon at fields located throughout the city of Boston (many are T-accessible). Middle School games are on Wednesday and Elementary School games are on Thursday. No prior soccer knowledge is required, just a willingness to work with kids. Any level of time commitment you are able to give will be appreciated. No formal training time is required. SCORES will send you a brief informational packet that includes an introduction to our program’s mission and an explanation of our game rules and procedures.
