BABY BASICS Join the Movement To ensure that every baby gets off to a great start Babies are born learning. Yet, everyday, they’re born into the world without the basic necessities to prepare them for school and life. Baby Basics is a way that you can make a difference. By getting your co-workers, friends, and family to create a baby basics basket, you’ll help a baby in your own community get off to a better start and brighter future. How does the program work?
- Sign your team up through United Way and let us know how many baskets your organization will be able to provide.
- We’ll connect you to a United Way partner agency that serves children less than three years of age.
- Volunteers may select one or more items from the baby basics list needed to assemble a complete basket or baskets. ( this list will be e-mailed once you have already signed- up )
- Schedule a “baby basics” event in which everyone assembles the baskets. Collect donated items in the week(s) leading up to this event.
- Arrange to either drop the baskets off or have the agency pick them up.
It’s that easy to make a difference to a family in need of help! United Way Thanks all the organizations and individuals that have made Baby Basics a success. Thank You for joining the movement!
