Mentors Wanted!
Interested in becoming a Career Mentor? Do you want to make a difference in a person's life? Can you spare an hour of your time each week? If yes, then please contact us to learn more!
JVS (Jewish Vocational Service) is looking for Career Mentors to assist individuals in meeting career/educational goals. You will work one-to-one with a client, providing support and guidance on job-related/career and education issues. JVS' clients include: refugees, new immigrants, low-income individuals and individuals with disabilities. Many of these clients are new to working in the professional world, having recently completed one of JVS' skills training programs. Career Mentor's listen to their concerns, give advice and act as role models - all with the focus on helping these clients succeed in the workplace. The Career Mentor program is part of JVS'commitment to provide long-term support to its clients.
Training and on-going support to all Mentors is provided by JVS.
