Volunteer Opportunity Details:

One of the most effective ways to help young people is through mentoring. Mentors can help youth improve relationships with peers and family, improve academically, and be more hopeful about their future. All it takes is ONE hour, ONE time a week, for ONE year. Develop a friendship and influence a child by doing fun and educational activities in the community. Typical "match" activities include playing sports, hiking, doing arts & crafts, baking or cooking, helping with homework and just talking. It's amazing to see how a little time can make a difference in a child's life. 3 Easy Steps to Mentoring:
- complete an interview and background checks
- attend a mentor support training
- attend match meeting
You must be at least 18 years of age and have a drivers license. Once you are matched with a mentee, staff will contact you regularly to see how you think the match is going and offer support.
