Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston is looking for volunteers to support performing arts programs, including dance, music and theater. Whether you have a background in performing arts or a passion for dance and drama, share your skills and time with youth interested in learning more about performing arts. Instruction ranges from ballet and jazz to hip-hop and theater. The application process to serve as a volunteer with BGCB includes the following: one reference letter, state and national CORI forms (Criminal Offender Record Information), and a SORI form (Sex Offender Registry Board). CORI forms must be completed with a BGCB staff and accompanied by a copy of a government issued ID. Forms take up to 2-4 weeks to clear. We request a minimum commitment of one hour per week for twelve weeks. We also require that volunteers attend an orientation. From Storrow Drive (eastbound):
Take Leverett Circle exit. Proceed up Cambridge Street. Turn left onto Bulfinch Place. Make first right onto Congress Street. Proceed straight. 50 Congress Street will be on your left after Exchange Place and before Water Street.
From the North:
Take 93 South to Boston. Exit at #23 (High Street). Proceed straight down High Street which at the 3 point intersection will turn into Kilby Street. 50 Congress Street's back entrance is on Kilby Street between Water Street and Exchange Place.
From the South:
Take 93 North to Atlantic Avenue Exit. Proceed on Atlantic Avenue, follow signs for State Street (left turn). Follow State Street, make a left onto Broad Street, then turn right onto Water Street. At 3 point intersection bear right, back entrance of 50 Congress Street will be on your left between Water Street and Exchange Place.
Parking is available in Post Office Square garage (located one block from 50 Congress on Congress Street, left side).
