Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on January 28, 2009

Volunteers needed to teach basic computer skills to New Americans and individuals transitioning from Welfare to the Workplace who are involved in a job search and trying to gain skills toward obtaining employment. It is very exciting to empower these people to achieve self-esteem and the skills necessary for them to become economically independent.

Volunteers must be able to teach basic computer skills: how to use a mouse to how to use basic Microsoft Office software. There are also opportunities to teach more advanced computer learners including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Teaching job search on the Internet is also an opportunity available to volunteers.

Thank you for your interest and support.
