Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 16, 2009

We have many opportunities for volunteers at Ellis. The following will describe just a few of the opportunities available in our Infant/Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten, School Age, and Adult Day Health (elderly/disabled) programs. Morning time- read to preschool/kindergarten children, participate in free time activities or outdoor activities. Lunch time- serve and eat lunch with our elderly/disabled clients, help feed and put down for naps our children in preschool, kindergarten, or infants/toddlers. Afternoon- various activities with all programs, homework/activities assistance, tutor school-age children, games in the gym or outside. We also have chaperone outings available for all programs, mostly during vacations. At Ellis, we work with our volunteers to match their strengths and interests to the different programs. Your time, skills, and efforts will be greatly appreciated by all of us here at Ellis!

All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and materials. An orientation and tour are provided. We ask that once you commit to volunteer that you are consistent. Whether you plan on attending a few times a week or once a week, the children will look forward to seeing you each time. You will make a difference!
