Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Senior Medical Escort Program matches frail seniors with a volunteer to drive or accompany them to medical appointments. Volunteers can use their own cars or accompany elders on a taxi or senior van. Volunteers can decide how often, what days, and what times they are available.

This volunteer position is very flexible. Some volunteers take an elder to an appointment once a week, and other volunteers take an elder to an appointment once a month. Volunteers are given several days advance notice of assignments and can always decline an assignment.

If volunteers plan to drive seniors in their own cars, they must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
