Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Do you have experience studying abroad? Have you wanted to meet students from other cultures and backgrounds? Are you looking to volunteer, but haven't yet found an organization that can work with your schedule? If so, YFU wants to meet you! We are one of the world's largest and most respected international exchange organizations. YFU students gain skills and perspectives necessary to meet the challenges and opportunities faced in our fast-changing, global community. YFU is looking for enthusiastic individuals to develop a supportive mentoring relationship with a high school exchange student from another country. The International Student Representative may help do the following: -Help place international students within host families -Check in on student and host family at least monthly -Respond to student/host family questions and concerns in a timely manner -Notify YFU of any greater support issues as we are always available to assist you! YFU volunteers should have enthusiasm for the exchange experience, flexibility, good judgment, maturity, a willingness to carry out YFU policies and procedures and be at least 18 years of age.
