Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 16, 2009

The Ellis Memorial Infant/Toddler Center is looking for volunteers to work with our staff and students on weekday mornings. Activities and duties would include:
-interacting with children by showing them how to use materials in the classroom
-comforting and positively redirecting children when necessary
-reading to young children
-assisting teachers with day to day activities
This is a great way to get involved with young children, to gain some classroom experience, and to make a difference in the lives of those in need. We are looking for a volunteer with a warm, loving demeanor and a consistently positive attitude.

There is an application and interview process required for this volunteer opportunity. Volunteers must provide medical records, references, and a CORE. Please contact the volunteer coordinator to request an application. We are also specifically looking for volunteers with some background in Early Childhood Education, academic or practical in nature.
