    • Boston Asian Y.E.S. - Holiday Music Teacher Needed

    We are looking for a music teacher. The teacher can be available anyday Monday - Friday from 3-6 p.m. Perhaps 2-4 sessions (flexible) Participate in a sing-along accompanied by the piano (upright piano on site) Play the piano and teach a small group of teens (5-8) some traditional songs for the Christmas season. Perhaps also a few popular songs. (more)



    • Boston Medical Center -Holiday Giving

    Each December, the Volunteer Services Department at Boston Medical Center welcomes gifts from individuals and groups in the community for our patients, both adult and children. Gifts should be new, unwrapped, and non-violent. Bring joy to those hospitalized during the holiday season (more)



    • Bridge Over Troubled Waters -Holiday Gift Drive

    Bridge is seeking volunteers (individuals and/or groups) to participate in this year's Holiday Gift-Giving Program. Gift-givers choose and purchase a present for a young Bridge client. We'll send you a list with our clients' names, sex, ages, sizes, and suggested gifts. You, or someone in your office or group, can then organize the gift-giving effort. (more)



    • Cambridge Family & Children's Services - Holiday Toy Drive Volunteers

    We need individuals willing to help collect toys for the children we serve by leading their office in a toy drive. The children and families make wish lists, which are then passed onto offices and businesses willing to help purchase some of the toys. (more)



    • Cambridge Family & Children's Services - Holiday Pointsettia Sale

    We are looking for volunteers who are willing to lead their office or business in selling poinsettias. This is an important fundraising effort for CFCS, especially now, and we hope that you will help us help children. (more)



    • Community Servings - Holiday Gift Baskets

    Community Servings, Greater Boston's free hot, home-delivered meals program serving individuals and families ill with AIDS needs your help to make this holiday season brighter for 450 individuals. Volunteers are needed to create or deliver a Holiday Basket for individuals or families ill with AIDS. Your contribution of a holiday basket filled with non-perishable food and gifts will be delivered on Christmas morning to men, women, and children who are battling with AIDS. (more)



    • Girls Incorporated of Lynn - Winter Holiday Celebration

    December 22, 2001, 7:30 a.m - 5:30 p.m.: Volunteers are needed to assist staff with activities for members. Activities are related to Christmas celebrations around the world. Also assist with distribution of presents and food to the girls and guests. We could also use a Santa. :-) (more)



    • The Greater Boston Food Bank - Help needed during Holiday seasons!

    Food Sorting occurs in the product recovery room of our warehouse Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-3:30 PM. We are open for two shifts on Saturday: 9-12:30 and 1:00-4:30. We are also open the last Wednesday of each month from 6:00PM-8:30PM. In Product Recovery or Food Sorting, products need to be inspected, sorted and repacked before they can be distributed to our member feeding programs. Volunteers can come in as individuals or in a group. (more)

    We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to have guitarist,singers,or any other musical performer(s)join us on a Friday afternoon, or any afternoon, to help our consumers celebrate the winter holidays. (more)


    • Home for Little Wanderers - Help Make the Holidays Special for Kids!

    Volunteers are encouraged to help us sort through donated gifts in our huge "gift room" so that we may distribute gifts to the 10,000 children and families we serve. We need help collecting gifts from our gift desk and then sorting them by size, age group, interests, type of gifts, etc. This opportunity is perfect for small to medium size groups or individuals (more)


    • Hostelling International Boston - Holiday Celebration / Observance

    Share America's diverse holiday traditions with hostellers! Expose them to the American holiday of Thanksgiving by helping with our traditional meal. Take guests to Christmas Eve Mass at Trinity Church or out for caroling on Louisburg Square. Play Dreidel and make potato latkes for Chanukkah. Teach about the seven principles of Kwanzaa. (more)

    On December 24 & December 25, we have a wonderful volunteer opportunity available for GIFTWRAPPERS at BARNES & NOBLE BOOKSTORE located at One Worcester Road in Framingham, MA from approximately 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (more)


    • Project Hope - Santa's Workshop

    From December 16-20 we need volunteers in a variety of capacities at different times. On Sunday, December 16, and Monday, December 17, we will need help in setting up our Christmas store for our homeless families. (more)

    ROSIE'S PLACE NEEDS YOUR HELP! The Cambridgeside Galleria Mall has given Rosie's Place a gift wrap booth, to help Rosie's Place raise money during the holidays. We need your help to staff the booth between November 23 - December 24 (more)


    • Salvation Army - Adopt-A-Family

    The Salvation Army has been gearing up for the Christmas Season. This year volunteers are needed to help with our Adopt-A-Family program. We need volunteers to help by sponsoring a family this Christmas. (more)

    The Salvation Army is gearing up for the holiday season. Volunteers are needed to assist with this years Angel Tree program. We need volunteers to help organize and coordinate having a tree in their place of work, school or organization. (more)

    The Salvation Army is gearing up for the upcoming holiday season. Volunteers are needed to assist with The Salvation Army's Christmas Castle. We need individual's to assist with set-up and decorating, escorting clients through the Castle, re-stocking items as needed and helping with break-down of the Castle. (more)

    The South Boston Neighborhood House Early Books Program needs volunteers to help wrap Christmas gifts at the downtown Boston Barnes & Noble bookstore. The gift wrap project will take place during 2 separate weeks in December. (more)

    The South Boston Action Center needs volunteers on Thursday, December 20, 2001, to help sort and organize holiday gifts for local kids.     • Starlight Children's Foundation - Gift Wrapping this Holiday Season!

    The Arsenal Mall has been kind enough to allow Starlight volunteers to work at the gift wrapping booth. Some of the money earned during the Holiday Shopping season will be donated to Starlight provided that we work at the booth on the weekends. Please help us out and spend a few hours during the holiday season wrapping gifts! (more)
