The Boxford Playground Committee is organizing a BUILD WEEK Sept 22 through Sept. 26 to build the only public playground in our town. We are a rural community 25 miles north of Boston off Rte 95. We need 300 people/day, working in 3 shifts to help build this all timber structure. This is a massive undertaking for a town of 8500 people. We are providing on site child care and meals. we are providing training. we need every skill level. A community built playground is like an old fashioned barn raising, where everyone pitches in, and at the end, the tangible results provide true satisfaction. Your contribution can make a difference for the 2200 kids in our town.

We need people of all ages and skill levels. All that is required is a willingness to work. If you're comfortable with power tools or heavy equipment, great. If you think you can swing a hammer, or rake bark mulch, terrific. We ask that children under 12 not work on this project, for safety reasons.

To volunteer, please contact Kim Sears at 978-887-5302 or kimandcharlie@mediaone.net.
