Citizen Celebration: | A Night Out in the Neighborhood |

Citizen Schools, an innovative after-school and summer program in Boston, is hosting an exciting event on Friday, February 5, 1999. Citizen Schools will be celebrating its 4th birthday with hundreds of its parents, community leaders, Citizen Teachers, and Mayor Tom Menino, commemorating their contributions to the successes of Citizen Schools' amazing programs. It will be a unique gathering in the Great hall of the Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester where - as with the program itself - people from all walks of life will mingle regardless of culture, age, economic standing, profession, or neighborhood. Citizen Schools needs your help to make this event the talk of the town! Volunteers are needed during the following times: February 1st - 4th: Evenings at Citizen Schools' headquarters, assisting with database entry, phone banking, and other logistical support in preparation for the event. February 5th: In the afternoon, from 1-6 p.m., to decorate the Great Hall of the Codman Square Health Center and get it prepared for the event. February 5th: During the event volunteers are needed for 2-hour shifts to assist with registration, food service, and other forms of support. Ticket prices will be waived for all individuals who volunteer on the day of the event. For more information contact Andrea Condit at 695-2300 x119, or via E-mail at AndreaCondit@CitizenSchools.org
