Magnolia Clubhouse
Magnolia Clubhouse's mission is to ensure that people with mental illness are respected co-workers, neighbors and friends.
Description:
Magnolia Clubhouse is a community-based psycho-social rehabilitation center where people who experience mental illness are needed and belong. We support employment, education and advocacy. Clubhouse members and staff work side-by-side to manage all facets of operating the Clubhouse.
History:
Founded in 1961 as Hill House (now Magnolia Clubhouse), the organization is based on the Clubhouse model established by the first Clubhouse, Fountain House, in 1948. Magnolia Clubhouse is a certified program of the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD). Opportunities for social interaction, developing relationships, employment, education, and building community are integral to the holistic approach of the Clubhouse model.
