The mission of Victory Villa Senior Center is to provide structured programs for the senior citizens of Baltimore County. This is accomplished in the form of work groups, classes lectures and seminars, in a friendly, diverse, and therapeutic atmosphere.

Description:
The center is a gathering of many talents. Leisure activities such as woodshop, billiards, shuffleboard, scrapbooking, sewing, needlepoint, pinochle and crafts are ongoing programs. Many seniors in the center are active in walking, weight training and seated exercise classes. Two different levels of line dance are also offered. College classes offered through CCBC are art, ceramics and quilting. Presentations are offered dealing with health issues, financial education and historical presentations to name a few. The center enjoys many social events throughout the year. Many county resources within the Department of Aging are in the center.

History:
Victory Villa Senior Center began in March of 1973 as a one-day site open on Tuesdays. It was located at 404 Compass Road in the Recreation and Parks Building, and was open to seniors age 55 and older. The Senior Center was managed by the Department of Recreation and Parks until 1979. At this time it was transferred to the Department of Aging. A new facility was opened in 1990 across the street from the Recreation and Parks Building. V.V.S.C. has been at the current location since the summer of 1990.
