Athletic Connection

Athletic Connection is a BYU Center for Service and Learning program designed to provide opportunities for children and youth with Down Syndrome to learn how to play and participate in various sports activities.

Description:
Athletic Connection arranges for athletes from BYU athletic teams to teach participants. Volunteers are needed every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to participate in the sports-related activities with the children. Volunteers do not have to be BYU athletes; however, they will need to be able to assist the visiting athletes in their interactions with the Down Syndrome youth. To get involved in this program, please contact the program director.

Commitment: 1-2 hours/week, Fall and Winter Semesters. The program directors ask that volunteers commit to serve for at least one semester.
