Friday's Kids Respite is a Center for Service and Learning program where students can watch children with disabilities on Thursday or Friday nights so their parents can get a break.

Description:
This program is specifically developed to serve families who are raising children with disabilities. Volunteers (16 years and older are needed on Thursdays from 6-9pm or Friday nights from 6-9:30 p.m. to play with the children on a one-on-one basis. There are toys, a sand pit, a ball pit, swings, crafts, and movies. (It is a great date activity)! A nurse and a supervisor are there at all times and attend to all the children's personal needs, such as diaper changes, etc. Volunteers need to fill out a one-page information form available at http://www.fridayskids.org. Feel free to call with any questions.

Commitment: Come as often as you would like!
