What is Adult Outpatient/WATCH/WRC?

WATCH provides therapy, medication management, and case management services to adults who are chronically mentally ill, homeless, and do not have traditional Medicaid, private insurance, or other benefits. Their case management provides certain support services as well. For example, they proved "protected payee services" which help individuals manage and budget their money. They also help with housing, transportation, application for benefits or services, and attainment of food.
Adult Outpatient provides individual and group therapy; treatment of abuse, trauma, behavioral problems, anxiety, and depression; medication management services; psychological testing; and case management assistance for individual with mental illness. They also assist in cases of domestic violence.
The WRC is a no-fee clinic open to the public to provide services to individuals who are not covered by any third party payer. Admission is based on the severity of need and income level. The WRC provides the following services: Individual assessments, group psychotherapy, case management, psychiatric evaluations, medication assistance.

What might I do as a volunteer?

Volunteers can help administer and collect intake questionnaires for clients before their appointments. They might also help run group therapy sessions under the direction of the therapist.

Hours available to volunteer:

Monday - Friday 8 a.m - 5 p.m., their busiest hours are from ?

Commitment:

At least one hour per week for the duration of the semester or until 20 hours are completed. Reliability is expected.
