Transitions-Where Dreams become Reality.
Adults with developmental disabilities are served by staff from the Transitions programs. Volunteers are desired to work with individuals engaging them in various activities which happen throughout the Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties. These daytime hours(Mon-Fri) are flexible and available for a variety of volunteers.

Description:
In conjunction with staff, assist a small group of adults with developmental disabilities to participate in projects/activities such as:
Arts & Crafts, Barber/Cosmetology, Board Games, Reading, Cooking, Gardening, Music, Pet Therapy or Recycling.

All volunteers must be 18 yrs or older and be able to attend a 6 hour Orientation Session prior to starting. They must also be able to pass a criminal background check.

History:
Clinto, Eaton and Ingham Community Mental Health Authority has been present and actively meeting the needs of individuals with mental health needs for over 35 years. Transitions programs have been providing support to adults wtih developmental disabilities for over 32 yrs.
