Our Mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships that have measurable impact.

Our Vision is to provide successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools and stronger communities for all.

Description:
Big Brothers Big Sisters creates successful mentoring relationships for all children, ages 5 to 17, to reach their potential by matching them with a Big Brother or a Big Sister. Ultimately, we seek to develop and strengthen the developmental assets children need to become successful adults.

History:
Founded in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. National research has shown that the positive relationships between Big Brothers and Big Sisters and their Littles have a direct, measurable, and lasting impact on children’s lives. Locally, we support approximately 900 matches per year and have been serving children in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia and Shiawassee Counties for over 55 years.
