Description:
New Way In, Inc. has provided offender targeted services in the Tri-County area for more than thirty years. Although we currently focus on employment related issues, historically, we also operated half way houses until 1990.

We are a private, non-profit corporation, receive funding from a wide variety of sources, including Michigan Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative, Workforce Investment Act(both through the Capital Area Michigan Works!), City of Lansing, County of Ingham, and Capital Area United Way.

History:
New Way In was incorporated in October of 1972. We operated half way houses for adult males returning from prison (from mid 70's to 1990), adult females from 1977- 1990, and adult male probationers from 1978 to 1985. We've provided employment development services to ex offenders throughout our existence.
