The mission of Clinton County M.S.U. Extension is to provide research based programming and assistance to families to help address critical issues, needs and opportunities and enhance the quality of family life in Clinton County. M.S.U Extension - Bringing Knowledge to Life!
To accomplish this mission, Clinton County Extension staff and volunteers work together to provide programs in youth development, agricultural education, strengthening families, and home horticulture. The Clinton County M.S.U. Extension Office is your local window to the resources and expertise of Michigan's land grant university.
Description:
Clinton County M.S.U Extension provides a variety of educational programs and resources for families. Programs focus in areas of community and economic development; agriculture and natural resources; and children, youth & families. Programs for children, youth and families include: parenting education, nutrition education, 4-H, HABIT, A Work of Heart -programming for children in foster care, youth development,summer day camps,youth leadership training, spring vacation Discovery Days programs, child care provider training and food safety.
History:
Clinton County M.S.U Extension is a part of the Michigan State University land-grant university system. Authorized by the Smith Lever Act, the Extension Service has existed across the nation since 1914. Offices have existed in Clinton County for over 80 years.
