It is the mission of All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre to provide young people with an opportunity to produce plays of a professional quality and to provide the community with an opportunity to enjoy live, family oriented dramatic activities.

Description:
Most of the efforts of All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre are expressed in the organization’s mission statement, but the underlying goal is to help area youth achieve invaluable life skills while they receive training in the dramatic arts. Our participants not only gain first-hand exposure to literature and performance, but also experience the teamwork, individual achievement, responsibility, commitment, respect for diversity, and thrill of being part of “something big.” The program activities are designed to strengthen the self-esteem of each child, helping them to grow into caring, confident, and productive adults who feel the joy of giving something to their communities.

History:
All-of-us Express Children's Theatre was founded in 1989 by Evelyn Weymouth. During its first 17 years, All-of-us Express has trained over 1700 mid-Michigan youth in the theater arts. Participants have produced 69 full length plays, including Shakespearean adaptations, traditional children's plays, and pieces by local playwrights. All-of-us Express Children's Theatre has collaborated with Riverwalk Theatre in Lansing on productions for several years. We have worked with several of the schools in and around the Lansing area both as performance opportunities and for public theater space.
