Shared Pregnancy Women's Center's mission is to provide spiritual, emotional and material to pregnant women and families with young children. We help everyone who walks through our door.
Description:
Shared Pregnancy Women's Center is a Christian non-profit helping pregnant women, women with young children, and their husbands or partners in the greater Lansing area. We are committed to helping women make healthy choices for themselves and their babies, whatever their needs. We provide spiritual, emotional and material support, weekly parenting and life skills classes, and referrals to other services in the community. Our popular Learn and Earn program allows women to earn points, which they may redeem for diapers, baby clothes, furniture and plenty of other baby items. We are a small organization, with only one full-time and two part-time staff members. Our volunteers are the heart of the Center, providing counseling, organizational and administrative support, and any other talents they may bring.
History:
Shared Pregnancy was founded in 1982 by a group of Christians wanting to ensure that women facing unexpected pregnancies received spiritual, emotional and material support. We have always been located in the downtown Lansing are, and we have been at our present location (503 N. Walnut) for eight years.
