Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Assist in developing advertising strategy for Michigan Audubon. Work at developing exchange advertising opportunities between the Jack Pine Warbler and other publications produced by Whisper in the Woods, Michigan Environmental Council, MSU Knight Center’s for Environmental Journalism, Nature Conservancy, Sierra Club, various Watershed Councils, Land Conservancy organizations, and other environmental groups, etc. Work with staff and the JPW editor and designer. Possibly assist in coordinating an ad hoc ad campaign or marketing committee. Comfort with calling and/or emailing other organizations and working with staff and volunteers within Michigan Audubon. Minimum 5 – 10 hours / month, potentially increasing over time to as much as 2 -5 hours per week (this could be achieved with a team of volunteers working together).

No design work necessary. An understanding of advertising/marketing would be helpful, but is not required.
