Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This was a great opportunity for volunteers! We had so many volunteers that enjoyed working with this group of girls that it was hard to limit how many could participate.
We are in need of one to two volunteers who would be willing to spend 1-2 hours per week with girls who have truancy issues and are considered at-risk of educational failure. The volunteers would be responsible for planning and implementing arts, crafts and games for the girls. There would be approximately one hour of planning and one hour with the girls.

Volunteers will undergo a Leadership Essentials Training and Council Essentials. The volunteer will also need undergo a background check. Time will also be spent shadowing and working with a trained facilitator. Volunteer should possess an interest in middle/high school girls, particularly those with different life challenges. MUST be dependable-this is a short term program and the groups thrive on consistency.
