Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers needed to help answer pledge phones for Mid- Michigan's own Public Broadcasting Station, WKAR-TV. Located in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building on the campus of MSU.

The vast majority of fundraising for public television takes place at the local level. WKAR-TV raises one third of its membership income each year from pledge drives. The more volunteer hours we record, the more funds we receive from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Community Service Grant. CPB values volunteer involvement in stations. Volunteers provide assistance in answering pledge phones which comes back to us in direct financial support.
Volunteer involvement allows WKAR to get to know its community better!

Must be able to speak and write English clearly. Training is provided 15 minutes before the beginning of the assigned shift.
