Change a life forever. Become a volunteer literacy tutor for adults. Help our community become stronger by helping your neighbor learn to read, write and speak English. “John” was able to gain employment above minimum wage; “Joan” was able to help her children with their homework; “Ray” studied and got his GED; “Martha” was able to follow the doctor’s instructions and avoid hospitalization. Become a volunteer tutor! Receive professional tutor training and materials. After the training we ask that you commit to two hours weekly; you choose the day, time and location.
All volunteer tutors must attend training. After the training tutors are asked to commit to two hours weekly. There is a $15.00 deposit fee for the tutor’s manual. Volunteer must pass a background check. This opportunity is sponsored by: Capital Area Literacy Coalition
We need volunteers who are free at these times
