Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Be a part of the Old Town Commercial Association's 9th Annual Compassionate Feast. This is our largest community outreach program that supplies more than 120 North Lansing families with the food and supplies necessary to spend Thanksgiving at home with their loved ones instead of in a soup kitchen. Volunteers are needed to help organize each Thanksgiving basket and distribute them to families.

Volunteers will need to be able to lift at least 20lbs (the turkey) and as much as 50 lbs (the whole basket), to pack the baskets. There are also opportunities for volunteers who need to sit, to check in the families as they arrive. Volunteers with cars who are willing to drive around Lansing and drop off baskets to families without transportation are appreciated.
