RSS XML FeedBackground Active Dec 11, 2008 to Jan 26, 2009

A mentor training workshop is scheduled for Monday, January 26, 2009 at Capital Area United Way (CAUW). CAUW is located in the Plante Moran building at 1111 Michigan Avenue.  The training will take place in suite 300. The training will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. Training materials will be provided for free as well as a catered breakfast and lunch. Volunteers will learn how important, as a mentor, it will be to share his/her experience, wisdom, and professional expertise when paired with a mentee. The goal is to help foster care alumni(mentees) attending Michigan State University gain a sense of confidence in their chosen career path, employment pursuits, and graduate. Mentor and mentee training will be based on shared interests. The majority of the mentees are minorities.
